Fun Times at a Wedding at Flanagan Farm, Maine

Following up with our recent post from Inn By The Sea in August, we wanted to share second venue that we have been frequenting. The Barn at Flanagan Farm !

This venue is stunning it is part of The Wedding Barns of Maine which includes The Barn on Walnut Hill . If you’re not familiar with either of these venues we highly suggest you take a look! The great thing about The Barn at Flanagan Farm is that they host weddings ALL. YEAR. LONG. That’s right! Hard to find many barn venues in New England that are capable of this. It is 60 acres and there are actually TWO barns on the property. “Flanagan Farm is versatile and accommodating—designed to take advantage of Maine’s four seasons—be it the open-air freshness of spring and summer or the crisp light and cozy warmth of fall and winter. Echoes of the property’s agrarian past are present and preserved in the brilliant restoration and renovation of the attached 19th-century barn and farmhouse and unadulterated pasture. Located just twenty minutes southwest of Portland, The Barn at Flanagan Farm offers an unforgettable backdrop to host your event, whether it is an intimate gathering, grandiose celebration or somewhere in between. “

Given the incredible size of this property and all that it can accommodate – a W.C Seacoast trailer could be very beneficial for alleviating long lines and avoiding lengthy trips to the bathroom! Our clients this August surely thought so 😉

Henry + Mac was here recently and we wanted to share some of their incredible shots of this gorgeous spot! Maine truly is STUNNING.

Wedding & Events in Maine & New Hampshire

The places we will go are endless- you simply just have to ask!

We were all over Maine, New Hampshire and even Massachusetts this month and we are so excited to share with you some of the beautiful locations we can go.

First one in August was at Inn By The Sea in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. “Spectacular ocean views and pristine gardens make the perfect backdrop for your luxury wedding or special event at Inn by the Sea. We offer a variety of event venues and spaces that can comfortably accommodate an intimate party of two or a social gathering of up to 200 guests. The unspoiled sands of Crescent Beach are just a boardwalk away from our venue rooms. All of this and more make Inn by the Sea one of the oceanfront event and luxury wedding venues in Portland Maine.” Our sister company, Sperry Tents Seacoast was set up here previously and worked with these talented vendors: Photography: Emily Delamater Photography Planning, Design + Florals: Lani Toscano Design Venue + Catering: Inn by the Sea Officiant: SWOON UNION CEREMONIES Hair: Aphrodite Salon Makeup: Adore Rouge LLC Rentals: Heartwood Essentials + One Stop Event Rentals

Loving Laudholm Farm For Weddings & Events!

Laudholm Farm is a gorgeous venue spot our sister company Sperry Tents Seacoast frequents! It is the perfect venue for those that want an outside wedding but also a barn wedding. As Laudholm states, “ Celebrate one of life’s most memorable occasions in a naturally beautiful setting. The Wells Reserve at Laudholm is one of southern Maine’s best-kept secrets, offering a unique location for your destination Maine wedding.” Not to mention this venue is incredible for photo opportunities “Your settings for photography are exquisite — the expansive lawns and wrap-around porch of the historic Laudholm farmhouse, wide open spaces, miles of nature trails, a beautiful beach… the list goes on.”

A tent can be set up right on the lawn (Sperry Tents Seacoast has been in multiple locations here) and then dancing/dessert/ a bar can all be placed inside the barn! The perfect blend of both worlds. Or, simply if your wedding party is too big to all fit in the barn a tent is a great option here.

That being said the bathroom is inside the barn on the first floor SO having a restroom trailer is a wonderful opportunity to alleviate walking far distances and gives guests the option to use a cute restroom set up right by the tent! Check out all of our options here .

End of June Celebration in Rye, New Hampshire

Towards the end of June we were a part of a wonderful private event in Rye. This fun gathering was put together by Leslie Jensen of Indigo Event Co “Indigo Event Co., started by Leslie Jensen, is a boutique wedding and event planning firm based out of Portsmouth, NH and wanders world wide. Leslie offers a young, fresh, vibrant vision with impressive attention to detail.

She has over 10 years of experience in the event industry. Her background includes event planning and management, branding, marketing, sales, and hospitality.” Leslie orchestrated this day seamlessly and we had some of our favorite vendors/ partners making up this team! Between our restroom trailer and a Sperry Tents Seacoast tent It was already set for a great day! Combined with our sister company, Exeter Tents & Events for the rentals as well as our friends over at Marshall who provided the benches!

The main takeaway was the incredible florals from Mellow Botanical what we love about this company is that they strongly focus on supporting local growers to create their beautiful arrangements. We love supporting local!! Taken from their website “From bouquets to tablescapes and installations, Mellow offers full service floral design for weddings and events. We take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure that each couple has the attention and detail they deserve. It is a party, after all. “

Enjoy some photos below – you can even see a little peak of our trailers off to the left in this first shot, for some reason the bathrooms are never a big “photographed” item HA!

Do I need a luxury mobile restroom for my event or wedding?

Planning a wedding or big event can be a much more overwhelming experience than people anticipate. It requires a lot of planning, organizing and research and something you may come across is ‘the bathroom situation’. Whether you found the perfect barn venue or the most amazing spot to set up a sail cloth tent – small plug for Sperry Tents Seacoast 😉 – it is important that the bathroom is never an issue the guests are discussing on your big day.

A luxury mobile restroom is a portable bathroom that takes the ‘ol “porta potty” to a whole new level. We are talking flushing toilets, running water (hot and cold) , ceramic sinks, wood floors, heating and air conditioning AND are even Bluetooth stereo equipped. Even if your venue is outfitted with a few stalls – a restroom trailer may be something you should consider if you wish for your guests to avoid long lines and wait times. The last thing you need is a hold up on the dance floor because 10 girls are waiting for the one stall bathroom!

These portable restroom trailers don’t require a lot but we do have a few specifications your venue needs to meet in order for us to be able to work there. Including: 3 – 20 amp circuits, water hook up, and a solid road or driveway for delivery/ pick up.

W.C. Seacoast is everywhere!

Here at W.C. Seacoast we have been SO busy as wedding season takes off in full swing! Just this past weekend we were set up in three locations on the same day! From 2 spots in Rye New Hampshire to an awesome set up next to a clear Sperry Tents Seacoast tent in Kennebunkport Maine! We worked with two of our long time friends and wedding planners Leslie Jensen of Indigo Events as well as Audrey Zahales of Azalea!

A bathroom may not be on the top of your list for vendors to choose (venue, florists, photographer understandably come first) HOWEVER – our custom built, black tie quality, bathroom trailers are luxurious, functional and beautiful.  From custom counter tops, to ceramic sinks, we even have blue tooth stereo in them! It is a nice touch and really helps alleviate the not so “luxurious” look of typical public restroom/ porta pottys!

W.C Seacoast mobile restrooms have hot and cold running water as well as flushable toilets. The elegant stalls have floor to ceiling privacy. Check out these photos of the inside! We also have some incredible drone shots from where we set up in Maine from Max Rewucki!

A Classy Wedding in Kennebunk, Maine!

Not only was this day filled with beautiful details from the Sailcloth tent, we’re looking at you Sperry Tents Seacoast, to the incredible bouquets from Minka Flowers – this couple chose to have a W.C Seacoast portable restroom. Fitting in with their classy and elegant overall vibe and theme for the night! We think we look pretty cute parked outside The Big House ! Who would have known that adorable little trailer was a bathroom!?

Special shout out to Brea Mcdonald who captured all of the details that were put together by the incredibly talented Audrey of Azalea Events (Planner) throughout of the day! We love getting albums from Brea because she truly makes sure to take it all in! (PLUS she always get shots of our products – thank you Brea!!) She posted about it on her blog as well saying – “Cheers to Shelley and Brian who rode away in style last Saturday from their Kennebunk wedding! We are OBSESSED with this car!” – What a sweet ride!! So glad there so many pictures taken throughout the night, it’s as if we get to live it again every time we scroll through!

The Guide to Bathroom Rentals for Your Outdoor Wedding

A very insightful read from Brides

Everything related to a wedding is so elegant, so refined, so proper that well, even the mention of a toilet sounds like potty mouth. But having a celebration alfresco when there are no bathrooms nearby means you need rental options pronto. That’s where we come in: We’ve done all the dirty work (er, research) for you with the help of wedding planner extraordinaire Lyndsey Hamilton, creative director of Lyndsey Hamilton Events. From porcelain thrones (Kimye did have a golden toilet tower!) to porta-johns, here’s what you need to know.

The logistics

You don’t want the loo in full view of guests or near where they are eating, so careful placement is a must, says Hamilton. If there aren’t any areas to tuck them away completely, hide units behind a barn, outbuilding, or even nestled in a grove of trees. “Make sure the bathrooms aren’t far from the tent and the path is covered in case it rains,” she says. You’ll also need to figure out where the water and power sources are located ahead of time.

From toilets to trailers

In the realm of wedding-worthy restroom rentals, there are your individual porta-cabins that have flush units (non-flush option are a no-no for obvious reasons!) and sinks. These typically go for about $300 apiece. Then there’s the restroom trailer, which can be like the royal flush of the mobile bathroom world. They are essentially regular bathrooms with running water, ample lighting, climate control, flushing toilets, and space, says Hamilton. They range in size from 10 to 26 feet and cost anywhere from $2500 to over $15,000, says Hamilton. “Although restrooms are not an item people want to spend a lot on, they really do make a huge difference,” she says.

Headcount counts

The last thing you’d ever want is a long line for the restroom, or (gasp!) your male guests resorting to a nearby bush, so have enough bathrooms to cover your guests. “We generally do three to four stalls for women and three stalls for men for a 150-to-175-person wedding,” for example. That works out to be roughly one bathroom per 25 guests.
